Good morning gang!
We have had a great trip to Florida and are working our way back West towards Texas. Writing this from the Walmart parking lot in Crestview, Florida and our destination today is Gulf Shores, AL. Then on to New Orleans and Mississippi.
This pic is from Music On The Bay, with our buds Donny Brewer and Jess Rice. Do yourself a favor and check out their music, it’s great. We recorded two songs with Donny on his “Winnebago Tapes Vol. 1” project, and he won three TRMA awards last year.
Here’s our upcoming schedule of shows. Please note some showtimes change at the last minute.
We have some new Saltwater Cowboy shirts available, click the pic to get you one!
We haven’t sent out a newsblast since before the Lone Star Luau. We have been pretty busy since then. But it was a HUGE success! We are already working on next year’s event. Confirmed artists so far: Southern Drawl Band, Tejas Brothers, Donny Brewer, and hit songwriter James Slater. Find out more at www.lonestarluau.com
We have decided to start a company to handle our events throughout the year. When we created the Lone Star Luau, and it outgrew our first location right away, Coley said “I think we need a bigger boat!” Bigger Boat Events will manage our music festivals, songwriter events, cruises, and overseas excursions. In the coming year we have Lone Star Luau 2, Tubes ‘n Tunes, trips to Isla Mujeres and England, and a cruise to Australia!
So what does this mean for our regular touring dates? Well, not much really – except that we will be doing a few less road dates and more events.
We are starting another event in New Braunfels this summer. The response on Facebook so far has been amazing! Tubes ‘n Tunes on the Guadalupe is June 2 & 3, with a tube float on Saturday and music Friday night at Mountain Breeze Campground and Saturday night at River Road Icehouse . Artist lineup coming soon. Click the pic for more info
This October, we will be heading back to Isla Mujeres, Mexico with our buddies Donny Brewer and Jesse Rice. (pictured at top of this newsletter)
